Role: Associate Creative Director, UI/UX Designer, and Animator
Overview: A six-month project in collaboration with PUBBLY Software and Florida Wildlife Conservation. This project involved developing learning and gaming solutions surrounding Florida wildlife with a focus on lionfish information, fish safety, and fishing practices. The end goal was to design an all-in-one package containing multiple interactive activities.
Concept phase & flow chart: I developed a flowchart using Whimsical to illustrate the various pathways and elements of the interactive program. Through extensive research and close collaboration with their science and conservation team, our team created a plan to deliver experiences that are scientifically accurate, informative, and enjoyable for users of all ages.
Character concepts and style guide: I developed a style guide for our design team to ensure consistency and accuracy across all UI elements. Additionally, I designed characters intended for an animated intro video. While the video was ultimately scrapped, this phase of creativity was a valuable part of the project’s development process.
Project Highlight: Throughout the project, I had the opportunity to contribute to and design some of the interactive activities. One notable experience was the virtual Lionfish Dissection, converting a complex real-world challenge into an interactive digital format. I led the development of this activity, utilizing dissection photos and collaborating with the FWC team to create a step-by-step lab that showcases the proper lionfish dissection process.
